How to Grow Echium candicans 'Pride of Madeira' from Seed


You are probably familiar with the impressive Echium pininana with its gigantic flowering spike and propensity to self-seed years after the initial parent plant had long disappeared via the green waste bin. However, despite its smaller stature, Echium candicans 'Pride of Madeira' is arguably a far more ornamental flowering plant as well as being of a more suitable size for the suburban garden. Sadly they are rarely seen available for sale, but they are surprisingly easy to grow from seed.
