Salvia involucrata 'Hadspen' is a rarely seen yet absolutely wonderful cultivar that is known for its rather bizarre opening flowerbud! Surprisingly hardy, although it does require a little support for its stems, it is an easy plant to grow so long as you can keep the slugs and snails at bay while they are establishing.
