Ernest "Chinese" Wilson is renowned for introducing the Lilium regale, or regal lily, to the Western world. He first collected it in 1903 and then again in 1910-1911, when he faced a near-death experience during a landslide while collecting the bulbs. The plant is native to western Sichuan Province in China. This video is just a small part of this mans plant hunting history.
