The Protea genus is home to some of the most exotic flowering plants in the world. Native to South Africa, they can be a little difficult to grow here in the UK although that are successfully cultivated on the south west coast of England and in particular the Isles of Scilly. However they will need to be kept in a frost free position and will require a specific root environment o thrive. In this video, English horticulturist Simon explains all.
