Never Cut these Trees in Autumn, Fall, Trim, Prune


When your ornamental or fruiting trees have dropped their leaves in the autumn, you can be forgiven for thinking that they are now dormant and ready for pruning , cutting or trimming. However, there are a number of tree species that you will need to hold off with that remedial work for a number of reasons such as increased risk from fungal and bacterial infection or weakening the tree from heavy sap loss. Don't forget, miss-times cuts can also remove flowering wood which will produce next years flowering displays!. So in this video, English horticulturist Simon discusses his list of trees that should never be cut in the autumn.
