Garden plants will be growing at their fastest rate in July - assuming you have had any rain this summer. This means that many plant can seem to become overgrown and therefore require some sharp-bladed maintenance. However, before you consider pruning, or seriously cutting back any of your garden plants remember that there are some species that you really should not be touching at this time of year.
