Never cut, prune or trim these plants in April


April brings with it the first warm days of spring, so the temptation for many gardeners is to make the garden presentable. This is done not only their own enjoyment, but to show off their hard work and valuable plant collections to guests. Unfortunately once the shears start moulding the spring flush of foliage to more of an eye-pleasing shape, unintended consequences can arise with regards to increase risk of pests and disease, non-flowering and the weakening of individual plant health.
