ROME: Photographs of and around the Colosseum at night

If you are remotely interested in what I get up to when I am on holiday, then this is it - or at least part of it.
This was me - waiting for it to finish raining, so that I could try my hand at taking some 'arty' night photos. It was cold, wet, and the whole experience got stale rather quickly. However, in some of the photos I did managed to keep the camera in focus. And while I didn't take a tripod with me, I did manage to keep the camera fairly steady by resting it on whatever was close to hand. A bollard, lamp post, litter bin, sleeping hobo....
Oh and one more thing! I have to apologise to the staff at Villa Adriana for clambering onto one of their 'chained off' exhibits. I couldn't resist having the photo taken and yes, I did get into trouble - completely my own fault and I certainly don't expect anyone to copy my irreverent behaviour. It's not nice being shouted at!
